On The Road Again…duh, duh, duh…on the road again…(Willie Nelson humming in the background)!

“On the Road Again” will bring back memories to my daughters.  On most RV trips, The Bearded One would loudly play that cut from a Willie Nelson tape in the truck cab as we set out.  We didn’t play it today but probably both had it playing in our heads…besides we don’t have a tape player anymore and who has it on CD?

We left home a bit before noon after walking about a mile in back and forth trips loading the trailer with clothing and supplies.

Almost ready for departure

We finished loading, already in short sleeves before noon…it was in the high 70s today and we were headed South!

In my usual position pre-departure, signaling whether the turn signals and brake lights work. With a bit of adjustment by The Bearded One, success.

So, we were on our way.  First, the stop for diesel and other liquids that might be needed for fuel throughout the day and evening.  Then, ON THE ROAD!

Hallelujuah! (rejoicing from a strange church along I-75)

Then Cincinnati…

The Queen City

And across the Ohio River

Over the Ohio River and on into Kentucky

Then on to Louisville

Here comes Louisville!

And then AGAIN across the Ohio River!

Back across the Ohio River into Indiana (State 3 today)

And almost immediately off into our campground.  An urban type campground.  Lots of gravel, very little space…but cable, wireless and proximity to repair…(soon to be important)

And we set up …all systems okey doke!

Until I noticed that there was no hot water after a half hour.  The water heater should ignite on its own…but no.  So, tomorrow to the RV place which is a block away…good thinking on picking this spot…and we will see if we spend another night here or are on our way South.  Either way, okay…THAT is the way to travel.

The Bearded One brought part of his collection of original Star Trek episodes...

We had mustard crusted tilapia, roasted asparagus and spinach salad for dinner.  The Bearded One is eating fresh pineapple for a snack as I write this.  A good day!
