Becoming a Kitten

When Allie arrive a little over a week ago, she was willing to be held, to be petted, to sleep on a lap.  Otherwise, pretty skittish.  She is learning to play now.  At 5 am she is started to attack any wrinkle in the sheets and has bitten a few toes (we are trying not to respond and encourage that behavior).  This morning I was on the phone and distracted…when I walked over to the computer desk, I was greeted with Allie’s adventures

She had upended the rubbish bin under the computer desk and was playing hockey with the tissues!  But then the next minute,  she can look so peaceful and cute

Tomorrow, unsuspecting Allie has an appointment for kitten shots at the vet…

Today, I planted herb seeds to flesh out the herb bed then weeded the area around the front fountain.  Then I tackled plumbing, replacing the cartridge in the master bath shower.  I feel very empowered that I can look up how to do plumbing repairs on the internet and successfully take care of them.  The drip in the shower just appeared when we returned from our month long trip.  It will be nice not to have dripping water torture tonight while we sleep!

After all that, I was not in the mood to fix something from scratch so we had Veg Loaf for dinner (I had three small muffin size loaves frozen)  with baked potatoes and steamed asparagus.  It was great.
