Happy Fourth

No fireworks around here and glad to say it.  It was going to be hot today so Allie and I sat by the pond for awhile this morning (me, reading…Allie counting her herd of fish).  It was a great way to start the day.  Then we watered the seedlings in the garden and came in before the heat of the day.

It is Beef/Pork day so we had hot dogs in honor of the fourth with Potato Salad and Baked Beans It was great and very festive.  I picked raspberries to have as a topping for ice cream for dessert.  Yum.

I started the process of braiding the garlic today.  I have braided almost half of it.  I certainly hope it lasts as long as we need it (although we use so much garlic that it is probably just a large drop in the bucket).

I love the braided garlic. I am so jealous about all you get from your garden! Someday I hope I can do that kind of gardening as well!
