I am reminded of things I treasure that I no longer enjoy in such abundance.
At the same time I know I am taking for granted (or even grumbling about the abundance of some things) those things that are showering upon me at this time.
Tonight’s dinner: grilled eggplant, onions, summer squash and mushrooms with a side of curried okra. Nice, but didn’t make a dent in the harvest. Tomorrow, canning tomatoes and trying a recipe for pickled okra.
Suggestion: Stop. Treasure what you have in abundance today that may not be there tomorrow.
