Seasons Are Changing

Fall might be my favorite season..except for what follows.  Ah, well.

The nights are becoming cool enough that I need to close the window over the bed midway through the night because it is just too cold.  The days are temperate enough that I do not sweat when outside in the middle of the day.  Perfect.

But.

We must prepare for things to come.  Like the Ants and the Grasshopper ( I have told you before that I am definitely an ant, the fiddling grasshopper gets on my last nerve), we arranged for nearly a season’s worth of firewood to be delivered today.  Since we heat primarily with firewood, that is a bunch.

Tomorrow, we begin stacking it all.  Tons of it.  Literally.
