Market Day

One of the best Farmer’s Markets in the area is held on Wednesday.  We have been going there each week for several weeks (although we have most things available in our own garden).  We still find a few treasures each week and tend to eat dinner from the market on Wednesdays.

Today, we bought some sweet corn (probably the last from the farmer for this season), a delicata squash and an acorn squash, and a summer and zucchini squash.  For dinner, we had sweet corn and roasted delicata squash.  Yum.  Goodbye, corn!  You have been wonderful!  Hello, winter squash!  You are wonderful!

We also did a shopping trip to Meijers.  We have not been there for a couple of months so there was a bit of impulse buying.  Allie hit the motherload since many cat toys were 75 % off.  She is laying on the floor, exhausted, as we speak.

I worked a bit more on the orange exercise but it is still not finished…maybe tomorrow.  It still needs some fine tuning and highlights but here it is as it exists tonight.
