A Sunday Drive

The weather has cooled off here on the panhandle of Florida today. It is in the low 50s and windy.  Nothing compared with the weather up North.  A friend of mine just posted on Facebook that is was zero degrees last night in our home area and her furnace went out.  Eesh.  AND, the southeast (Memphis, Atlanta) is supposed to get 6 inches of snow tonight!   I am certainly glad we traveled last week and not this week!

We traveled into Carrabelle to get groceries.  It was Sunday so little else was open but we got the needed provisions and drove further along Highway 98 to see what there was to be seen.  We just went about 15 miles, the highway winds right along the coast.  It is beautiful and I continue to be amazed at how much coastal property is for sale and not built upon!

We returned to the trailer and watched the world go by for the rest of the day.  The Bearded One is delighted that there is a Star Trek marathon taking place on the SyFy channel.  Sigh.

We split a filet for dinner with sauteed mushrooms and corn on the cob left from last year’s garden.  Tasty.  Nice life.
