My Mom Followed Me to Florida

We are snowbirding in Florida for the first time.  We have just been here a few days but are enjoying it immensely.  It is a hoot looking at the temperatures at home and rejoicing in being 30-40 degrees warmer!

But, Mom followed us here!  This would not be a problem but she passed away nearly two years ago.  The good news is that she is presenting herself in persistent memories and prompts.

This morning I talked to my daughter who has two little boys, ages 3 and 5, who were eating their breakfast.  One insists on having his cereal dry….just like my Mom.

My daughter commented on how expensive cereal is (when thinking about the waste of cereal that had become too soggy while my second grandson was “wandering around” …going potty and getting dressed again).  Again, my Mom would be having a tizzy fit thinking of the waste!

Tonight, we had spaghetti for dinner.  We used up leftover jarred pasta sauce that had not been used up when we made lasagna a few days ago.  It was doctored up tonight to make a tasty spaghetti sauce.  My Mom would approve.

Love you, Mom.
