Fresh fish

It is so nice to be somewhere where we can get fresh fish.  Granted, not all of it is caught locally, but the fishmonger has fresh fish of a number of varieties.  Where we live (in small town Ohio) the closest thing to fresh fish are frozen breaded fish filets.  Sigh.

Today,we bought some orange roughy.  I seasoned it with salt, pepper, and paprika.  Then, I poured a bit of melted butter over the top and baked it in a 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.  Delish.

Last night I talked about my Mom following me to Florida on this Snowbirding trip.  I thought about her today again as I cleaned.  She was a stickler for CLEAN.  The proverbial “white glove treatment”(running her finger along the woodwork to make sure no dust was present).

I had started a routine at home to clean certain rooms on certain days.  I am using that routine in our RV (a MUCH smaller space). Monday – bathrooms, Tuesday – kitchen.  Each area in the trailer is a  4 x 4 foot space so it is easy to detail the area in 30 minutes.  Nice.

Now, if I could only find a way from paw prints and Bearded One prints from not appearing on newly scrubbed floors…

Getting cold here for the next three days.  In the 20s at night but in the 50s during the days…much better than a bit north of here!
