January…Usually My Least Favorite Month

January is usually my least favorite month.  Granted, my birthday is in January, but birthdays lose some of their luster after your teens.  Otherwise, January means cold and snow and gray.

This year, for the first time, we are snow birding in Northern Florida.  It is not hot but it is warm enough for Spring coats only and generally, we have our screen door open.  Yes.  This is not my least favorite month at all.  I can look out at the gulf all day long.  I can walk about without a winter coat or my hood up.  I do not need to start a fire in the wood stove at any point in the day.

Allie likes it, too.

We had Grouper again for dinner.  It is very meaty in texture but the fresh stuff is very mild.  We tried Paul’s Grilled Grouper from Emeril for dinner.  Very good, just meaty.
