Everybody Loves the Bird Feeders

The Bearded One installed two bird feeders last week.  It took the birds a couple of days to find them but they have.  Of course, they are freaked when they saw me inside preparing to take their pictures.

The squirrels were not so shy…

Nor was Allie.  She was obsessed.  Tail twitching.  Gutteral meows.  Climbing the inside of the windows…

We had Vegetable Lo Mein (a recipe from Whole Foods) for lunch.  It was great.  I added a bit of chili paste for some extra umph.

For dinner, we had steak au poivre and baked potatoes.  Although this is our go to recipe for steak, it gave The Bearded One the urps.  Sigh.  He said it was the peppers (although he routinely adds hot pepper sauce to EVERYTHING before he even tastes it…thanks, cigarettes.)  I think it is because of the combination of meat and spice.  He does not get the urps from vegetarian recipes.  At least that is my take on it but we are not sure of anything.  I can say that it has become much less frequent in the past months (since we are eating more vegetarian meals….?).

I go to art class tomorrow.  I have decided that the background of the vegetable painting will be a wooden cutting board.  We will see how the combo works out…

Wait and see…
