Since we could not spend the weekend at the trailer as we had planned. We planted the garden. At least , I planted the garden with suggestions from The Bearded One.
To be fair, before the garden work, we went out to the campsite and worked on whipping it into shape. The grass was knee high and the mower was not happy inching through the overgrowth. Luckily, the maintenance guy who was mowing the common areas took pity on us and whipped through our campsite with his heavy duty riding mower in now time. Bless his soul!
We did a few other tasks getting the site ready and returned home. Hopefully, Monday the electricity will successfully be connected and we can spend some relaxing time out there.
Then, I planted the herb bed, adding parsley, basil and rosemary seedlings to the thyme, tarragon, lemon balm, cilantro, dill, oregano and chives that are already growing there. I planted 35 tomato plants and 20 pepper plants (some hot and some sweet). I planted four artichoke plants that The Bearded Ones thought would be fun and had been started from seed but I do not have much hope for them in Ohio.
Tomorrow, planting seeds. Feels good to be almost fully planted.
