HOT and sticky

Like much of the rest of the country, it is really HOT here this week.  We also are one of the areas blessed with incredibly high humidity.  The air is actually soupy to breathe in.  It would not surprise me to gurgle a bit as I take a breath.

A view from our trailer at the lake yesterday morning. The air is so moist it is visible.

But, the good news is, the garden loves the weather.  We have had enough pop up thunder storms to keep it watered with just a bit of supplemental watering by me.  Here is how it looks today.

The little annex behind the house, eggplants, tomatoes, swiss chard, peppers

The large garden: tomatoes, asparagus, kohlrabi. I harvested the onions this morning.

...cabbage, broccoli, green beans, lima beans, kale, recently planted corn

The first Cherokee Purple tomato beginning to ripen...

The annex outside the fence: zucchini, scallop squash, blackberries, raspberries, okra, leeks, cucumbers
