The heat and humidity continued today but around 4 in the afternoon a large thunderstorm swept through the area with high winds and heavy rains.  We were glad to see the rain for the gardens but the winds or the lightning caused a power outage at the campground.

We waited for quite awhile for power to return.  When dusk began to set in we decided to return to the house since the battery in the trailer is not powering lights or the refrigerator as it should.

The good news is that home is only 5 minutes away.  We had frozen dinners for dinner….yuck…but fast.  They were left over from a time when The Bearded One was alone for a day or two.  They needed to be used up.  But, it made me appreciate not having to eat prepared meals on a regular basis!

For tonight, we are enjoying cable at home…
