I am concerned about my daughters and their loved ones on the East Coast as Hurricane Irene creeps ever closer. I so hope that the hype going into this storm turns out to be just that and the storm is a dud. It is so difficult as a parent to be powerless to help your children.
They are smart and resourceful though, as are my nephew and his family. I hope and pray for the best for them and for all the others, for our country and our economy after this storm.
We picked up our camper today.
I drove it the two hours it took to get home. Easy Peasy. The truck does not notice that it is there, nor did I. Just kept reminding myself that there was a big box on the back but it is not as wide as the side mirrors so no problem
It took four hours for the unit to be installed since we did not have the hardware on the truck. The owners were great though and we highly recommend Mike Jones Motors for their service.
We are planning on outfitting the camper tomorrow at the Lake where we keep our big trailer. The two rigs can share some of their equipment.
Then, Sunday, we will head out to a local State Park. That will get us in cell phone service range so that the kids can keep us abreast of Irene’s activities…
