Charleston Day 1

We traveled from Myrtle Beach to Charleston today.  The Myrtle Beach commercialism followed us for several miles outside of the city limits.  I would not choose to return there.

It was a fairly easy two hour trip to Charleston.  Thank goodness for the Garmin although I wish it would give a bit more advance notice of turns!

Obviously not our rig, we have a truck camper, but the campsite is much like ours.

We arrived at James Island Park Campground without incident.  It is Beautiful.  Clean.   Just enough privacy.  All the amenities and more.  AND,  it is warm.  We had our windows and screen door open!  Yeah!  This is what we came South for!

We are here for a week.  Maybe a day or two to go into the city and a day for a plantation; the rest for hanging out here.
