We all know the joys of home ownership. The pride of having your own place and being able to do with it what you will. The despair of having to fix every little thing that goes wrong instead of calling the landlord.
It is the same with an RV. As I have told you, we are on our first long journey in our new truck camper.
We have traveled nearly 2500 miles (not counting the miles to run errands). We have been on the road since December 19, 2011. Pretty much two months. In December, we had a water regulator replaced in Pennsylvania. In January, we had a water pressure valve replace in Charleston, SC and a LP gas regulator replaced in Carrabelle, FL. Today, in Baton Rouge, LA, our dead bolt will not work on our door. Another repair scheduled for tomorrow morning so our door is bungeed (is that a verb?) closed for the night. Sigh.
Luckily, we are under warranty for another 18 months. At this rate, we will have all the components of this thing replaced by that time!
Thank goodness for mobile RV repair!
On the good side, it is warm and beautiful. We traveled from Pensacola Florida through Alabama and Mississippi then on to Baton Rouge. It is Mardi Gras time but we have not caught any beads yet….
But, boy is there a lot of water around here!
So many times today the picture on the map of the Garmin just showed us on a strip of purple with nothing but blue all around us!
