Last weekend, P and W (my sister and brother-in-law) went to Houston for a birthday party for his mom. The Bearded One and I were left on our own to care for the critters for a couple of days.
Things went well on Saturday then Sunday morning when I went out to feed the sheep in a drizzling rain I got a surprise.
P + W had suspected that one of the ewe’s, Connie, was pregnant but did not think anything would be happening soon. SURPRISE! Twin lambs! A little boy and a little girl.
Dos, the ram, hung out the first couple of days with Connie and her lambs. I thought he was being protective (even though he is not the Dad) but P & W says he has baser motives. He wants to get lucky at the first possible moment. Sigh.
I feel like woolly Grandma!
