We saw the doctor today to find out what happened to The Bearded One to cause his mobility problems.  Remember?  He was shuffling along like Tim Conway’s old man on the Carol Burnett Show.  (if you are too young to remember, Google it).

Anyway, good news!  The doctor is pretty sure it was an electrolyte imbalance caused by the flu-like symptoms from the day before!  The Bearded One has recovered his mobility after the two day crisis  which coincided with our travels cross country.  It is great to know that we do not need to face this hurdle now.  Big sigh.

It is colder than all get out here right now.  It was 3 below zero this morning but next week promises to be colder.  We have 6 inches of snow on the ground with another storm due on Sunday and another midweek.  Yet, we are lucky compared with some areas of the country.  Yikes!

I am learning a new app.  Springpad.

It is an interesting combination of Pinterest, search engine, project planner, and other things I have not yet explored.  It is free and has great potential.  The biggest downside is that it comes with no directions.  I have had to Google to get info on how to use it but maybe that is how it is done these days.  I am pleased with the options available and am starting to organize my life a bit with Springpad.  It is great that anything I enter on one platform (laptop, tablet or phone) is available on all the rest.  Great for grocery lists, contacts or product info.  I think.  So far so good.
