A Bit Broken

My laptop died last night.  My desktop died a time ago.  I mostly live on my Kindle Fire except when I am posting, which has not been all too often lately.  So.  I shopped for a computer today.  I shopped for a charger for my out-of-luck laptop (just in case that fixes it).  And I got a few replacement keys for the junky laptop I had in reserve since my nice laptop had a problem while we were travelling a few years ago.  Hence, I am online again.  Junky is a wonderful thing at times.

I planned last night on blogging about a new recipe.  Shrimp and Pasta in Tomato Chili Cream Sauce.  It was good.  We did not think it was great and I only blog about great.  I would have added less cheese and more tomatoes.  The sauce was spicy but a bit cloying…too much cheese.  Emeril definitely had some Bam!  but…

Today, it was above freezing for the first time in days.  Tonight, it goes below zero and will not be above for 48 hours.  15 below tomorrow night.  I know it will be much colder for many so I am not going to complain.  We just plan on hunkering down for the next couple of days.  I brought up a couple loads of wood for the woodstove to keep us warm.

I also am hunkering down to spend the winter here.  I signed up for an online course in basic photograpy that was offered as an Amazon local deal.  I am planning on working on a colored pencil painting that is part of a kit from a course I enrolled in last fall.  Lots of warm, creative moments to come.
